The experience of having our log home built, in Bostic, N.C., was one of pure pleasure. We chose Jason Huitt, of South Mountain Log Homes and Construction, Inc., after we personally met with him and his wife Christina. We also felt comfortable with Jason, after being informed by other people, that he was an excellent builder who pays attention to details. We saw work that he had done, and was very impressed with it. While designing the plans for our home, we worked closely with Jason and he was always available to meet with us and for phone conversations. We would try to come up to the constructions site about once a month to see the progress and talk about ideas with Jason. This was about all the trips we could make, since we lived in Florida, so we put all of our faith and trust in Jason. During the construction, we would hear of horror stories about how bad things would go with being an absentee owner. But we never had any doubts about Jason. Let me first say you will be getting the most diligent & contentious General Contractors in the southeast. I have been a General Contractor in Florida for 25 years and was very impressed with Jason’s knowledge, quality of construction and ability to work with the client’s needs and budgets.

Jason Huitt will start by listening to your design ideas, whether its form one of his selections, out of a book or magazine, or a total original custom design like I had. He will then prepare an honest budget that fits your needs.

Next is their quality of construction. I was impressed with the constant personal reviews of every stage of the project. Jason oversees every detail himself and consistently goes above and beyond all current local codes. Many of his subcontractors commented to me that he is the best they work for.
